Even though there's a variety of DPs on this, keep in mind that it can still be a HP. Great if the results are SP but it's pretty much a YEMV based on what others have reported.
Got it. If I do pull the trigger on a NFCU card this weekend once I join them (as I've been banging on about the last day or so ad nauseam
), I'm out of the garden anyway so it won't matter.

You may want to hold off until September on the NFCU card as your chances will be better (and the possibility of a SP) once the September AR's are done.

An AR is only relevant if you already have a NFCU card.
Right, I don't even have a NFCU account yet; what I'm planning to do is join NFCU and then get a card. Back to Penfed, I'm still waiting to see if anything comes up in the next quarterly offers; for me, the quarterly AR's are apparently done in August, November, February and May - the one time I got quarterly offers anytime since my rebuild started in earnest, it was at the beginning of July 2017 so the May SP was being used. I haven't gotten a single actual offer (as opposed to the eternal TurboTax "offer") since then; the next SP/AR should actually be at the end of this week/month, which is one reason why I was asking how much longer I might be able to use the outstanding HP (dated 7/3). So it's really kind of a coin toss between whether I try the HP again to see if it's still good for a new CLI request, or whether I wait until the next quarterly offers are posted to see if I get anything.

Very true! I wasn't thinking this thru. Thank you for the correction.
I'm coming up on 15 months with my Power Rewards card. They started me at $3500. then bumped it to $10K after I contacted them. I was hoping that card with get a little love since then. Nothing at all. Oh well, I'm still happy with the limit.

Started at $2K at the beginning of July 2017, CLI'ed to $7K in October, but they haven't budged since after 2 (HP) CLI attempts. I'm leaning toward giving it another shot by Friday while my current HP is still active (hopefully they do use it).
UPDATE: Tried a CLI yesterday afternoon. They turned me down (not too surprisingly) but it does appear to have been a SP using the HP they did in July, so there's that.
I've had my Promise for a year and was just declined for a cli. My EQ score is 654. Should I recon or should I tell Penfed to kick rocks ? My Discover and Navy limits have been growing nicely.
