@Anonymous Congrats on the approval and joining PenFed.  I would suggest waiting at least 6 months with PenFed before going for another card.  They tend to like to see a little history before extending more credit.  There will always be exceptions but know in general that's not the rule or how they go about business.  Enjoy that new card once it arrives!

@Anonymous I applied for my second card (PCR) after the 4th statement from my first card (Gold) was released. Instant approval and same CL as Gold ($10k).  Had I waited until 6 months, I might've received a higher limit but I'm happy with my decision.

I was approved for a PenFed card today, right after joining the credit union and depositing a whole whopping $5. Here are the details:

• Product(s) approved and Limit: PenFed Pathfinder Visa - $5,000
• EQ 08 Fico: 689
• Penfed Nextgen: I don't know. (Sorry.)
• Instant or Review?: Review (Joined CU today; applied for CC right after joining; approved within 90 minutes)
• POI? No, but I did have to provide a government issued ID, utility bill and photo of my social security card because I have a fraud alert on my credit reports.
• AAOA: 2 years, 8 months (another bureau says 14 years... sigh)
• Derogs?: BK7 - Discharged Oct. 30, 2018; pristine history ever since.
• Util: 3% on $24k of credit lines
• Total EQ Inquiries: 7
• Last 12 months: 2
• Last 6 months: 2
• New Accounts in last 12 months: 4
• Last 6 months: 2

A tale of two applications.  I app'ed for the PCR card on 02/25 and was declined.  Fast forward to 03/18.  App'ed for the Visa Gold card.  Went to review thinking that this was another decline.  NOPE!!!  Approved for 7,500.  EQ was frozen so they used the pull from my 02/25 app.  My highest account since CH7 D/C four and a half months ago.  Here's my DP:
