Phone vs online amex cli application? Which is better?

Hi! I tried searching and couldn't find this question in the forum. I apologize if I missed it. But is there any benefit for me to apply for my blue cash preferred credit limit increase over the phone? Since I would have an employee on the phone to manual review/discuss the outcome? I do have a couple of charge offs from 2019, with other card companies. Nothing is in collections, I have had this account for 3 1/2 years and have never been late or missed a payment with American Express. I also have an American Express Delta card with them.  Both cards have a zero balance, but I do use the blue cash preferred very often, and pay it multiple times throughout the month. Because the limit is only 1000 it's tough to make larger purchases or multiple purchases during the month.

I would apply online since the decision will be done by a puter not a human. If denied you can call in a try recon but i wouldnt put much stock in a person being able overide the computers decision. Jmho

OP, there will be no difference in the outcome.  The computer will make the decision regardless of which method is chosen.  Online it's a quick and easy process.  If you feel like being chatty over the phone with an agent, then you can go that route if you prefer.  The agent is not an underwriter, just someone who will input the request.
