UPDATE!!!
Before I was added to the Discover it I had checked with Chase, Citi, Bank of America, and AMEX for Pre-Qualified Offers and there was nothing.
Also before being added to Discover, Credit Karma said there was not enough information in your credit report to generate a credit score (aka "thin file").
I wanted to see if after being added as an AU to the Discover if it helped at all yet........
I went online to Chase to check for Pre-Qualified Offers and it said I was Pre-Qualified for the Freedom. It also said that the Slate and Saphire Preferred were Great Pre-Qualified Offers. Since Chase gave me those Pre-Qualified Offers, I quickly checked with AMEX, Bank of America, and Citi to see if they had any Pre-Qualified Offers and they did not.
Since Chase said I was Pre-Qualified for Freedom, I checked my Credit Karma account and Credit Karma says, "Unfortunately, we are unable to provide your credit score at this time because your TransUnion credit report indicates you have a thin credit file."
Is this a good sign? Should I consider just going for the Freedom or should I wait? I honestly do not care about sign-up bonuses at this point in time.

Keep in mind CK is paid by the CC for bringing in apps, i'm sure there are instances where they have a valid offer, but if you already KNOW that your file is thin you are setting yourself up for a rejection. I would just get on as an AU on your folks Amex Blue and after a few months of verifed reporting you should be good to go.
By the way most website pre-quals are usually not worth much, but I have read that the ones from the Chase website are pretty good..... Good Luck.
For this Journey card your income is good enough . I know that because my sister was approved for it with a 10 dollars a hour income . Not only that , she had 2 collections and zero credit history . Shes had the card for about 16 months and now her CL is 3300 . Started with 300 .
