I need to supply a utility bill for proof of address. They will not accept other credit card statements/bank statements. I do not have any utility bills, or any other official documents (insurance, ID, etc.) that displays the address. Does anybody know of a service (that can be cancelled easily) that I can sign up for online thatt will create a utility arrangement and a utility bill? Thanks.
Who do you live with...?
Myself.
What company is asking for proof? That info might help us to help you.
What about a cell phone bill? Or change the address on your ID/DL.
Chase. They will not accept a cellphone bill. For a number of reasons, I cannot get an ID with the address on it.
Maybe they will accept the utility bill copy from the owner, with a signed notarized letter from owner saying you live there?
Are they asking bc your application address does not match the one on your credit report? Bc you can change the address with your creditors and have it updated on your credit report.
A lease usually trumps a utility bill. Ask if they can do that.
I was asking Chase before on what is valid for the address verification. If you do rent a place for living. A lease will work better than a utility bill. But the lease has to be in a formal and printed fashion. I gave a hand-written lease, but they told me to print a better version. I don't think there is something you can easily get as a replacement of utility bill. Hope this helps.
There are thousands of lease templates out there. I used one before my husband became my husband for proof of address. He just signed it like a regular lease.

Your best course of action is to go into a Chase branch if there is any close to you and tell them you don't have a utillity bill. Believe it or not, these banks have a strange way of checking these documents.
If you don't have it, go in or call and speak with a supervisor. There has to be other methods of verifying you...
