Proof of Income

Hello,

I make around $12,000 a year by I only work part-time, if I accidentally typed "2." for $22,000 would that trigger a financial review? Also, would that give me a higher limit?

Re: Proof of Income

Not necessarily but if they approve you you may get more than usual. Higher income usually helps with higher limits. Accidents happen just dont make it a habitSmiley Wink By the way , what card and lender did you app?

Re: Proof of Income

I did not accidentally make my mistake yet with American Express... I am still looking at card options but I qualify for the platinum american express but $595 annual fee is a little pricy or whatever it is.. I also pre-equal for the American Express Gold Card. Last time I checked my FICO score is was hovering around 740-755.

Re: Proof of Income

Why do you feel a need to lie?  Yes you might get a higher CL, but that additional line with a 12k income will give you more rope to hang yourself if you mismanage your credit.  Not to mention you could be shut down for falsifying information not by just a simple rounding error

Also with 12k income I highly dont recommend the Platinum or the PRG as meant for different income level.  Go with the ED or Blue Cash with no AF as you have the scores to get whatever Amex you want, the income is the factor and would highly advise against the PRG/Platinum and highly suggest not falslyfing to Amex about income.

edit:  Also going to lock this thread as nothing else needs to be said about the merits of falsifying income.
