QUESTION ABOUT LOWES CARD

Hey All, So i've been reading about the great results everyonehas been having with the Lowes card and am about to apply

A couple of questions:

I was reading the fine print on the website and it says that the 18 month financing is only available for a limited time for purchases made 4/30/15 through 5/6/15.

I plan a splurge for my major home renovations but am not ready quite yet. Is this really the window to qualify for special financing or am I misunderstanding?

Secondly, I tried to apply in-store as some people here have suggested but was told by staff (who didn't seem like they knew much) that I could only use state ID or

driving license to apply - which I dont have. Is this true? Is there any real advantage to applying in-store?

Thanks in advance,

H.

The 18-month financing offer does surface periodically (not a one-time thing), but the current window for the ongoing $299/18-month promotion is through Wednesday, 5/6.  Also, there is virtually no advantage from applying in-store vs doing the application online (i.e. does not improve your chances).

When I applied in-store many moons ago, they asked for driver's license to process the application so I'm not sure what other IDs they would take besides a DL or state-issued ID.

TU for me in AZ BTW, to be clear, they cycle through the deferred interest promos, most often is 6 mos for $299+ in one purchase, less often 12 mos, and least often 18 months. Tmorrow is day off and I'm headed to Lowes for the last day of the 18 mos promo. Also, if you app online & are approved they give you your account #, you can take that & photo ID to the service desk and get a temp card for immediate use in store.
