Question about Income for New Application

I have not applied for a new credit card or any credit since getting married. I am currently researching new cards to apply for and I am wonder if I should include my household income on the new application or if I should just include my own? When we are ready to have children we plan on me being a stay at home mom so we would only have one income but currently I have my own job. I don't know what the rules are around this... TIA!

Re: Question about Income for New Application

Household income. The CFPB eased restrictions on income reporting to CC companies specifically to help people in your future situation. Smiley Happy

EDIT: Sorry, apparently the link below has a paywall (it didn't when I clicked it through Google)...

Does he have to be listed as an authorized user on the card or does it matter?

Re: Question about Income for New Application

You don't need to have him as an Authorized User or apply for a joint account to include his income in yours.

I use both my income and my wife's when I apply because I am self employed and she is salaried so her income is considerably higher than mine.
