Yeah Discover prequal page is kind of loopy. When i put in just my name and ss, i get the discover it and the 11.99%-23.99% jist. When i put in my name and the last name mispelled like my most recent offer, its actually says average joe( my name), weve found a personal offer for you and then gives me 16.99%-19.99 % range. So no idea with them
Pre-qualifiers only work right on credit reports that are clean cut. For example if you have not applied for credit in over 2 years and never had a late would leave an easy report to approve. The more complicated the reporting the more confused the software will get and will just spit out a generic qualifier if it can find one in the programing. If you have mispellings in your report I recomend that you call up the agency that has the mispelling and have it corrected. I know I had a few processing errors on some of my earlier applications that were sorted out before the card got to me but were still reported. Having deviations of your name on file is fine but having misspellings will give companies ideas.
