Hello,
So i am building my credit, gone on a little bit of app spree(6-7-6 inquiries on the three bureaus), and have one trade line with Cap One for $2500, with a $100 balance. Been approved thus far for two Amex cards, highest limit is $4500, BOA cash rewards $1500, $1000 Cap One Quiksilver One. None showing as of yet. How is RBFCU for credit card/line of credit for good score, great income, no debt, and some recent inquiries? I was td for the Navy FCU LOC:-/ Fico scores from here are this:
Transunion 744
Equifax 713
Experian 720
Thanks
Craig

RBFCU pulls TU for membership and for all products.
your inquiries are good to go.
@Anonymous highest limit on cc at my time of apps was $9,600. I asked for $15k and they granted full amount @ 7.7%
@PLOC - $10k @ 8.9%
auto refi - 1.65%
My over all utl was 9%
Highest individual utl was 40 %
6 cards with balances
what is your income ?
What are you trying to achieve with them ?
Own home free clear. Own car free clear. Income is $140,000+
Trying to actually establish some strong credit, as I have usually paid cash(family, mostly grandfather who taught me finances had the depression era mentality....pay cash or don't buy something), and am finding even though income, assets and scores are good, it's hard to get any substantial credit. As I said, I have 4 very recent approvals, totalling about 10k in total credit limit, but none of them are on report yet. I don't know if I should wait for them to hit, and possibly lower score, or try now, based on income and scores.
thanks
Craig

With any lender nit just RBFCU you should wait 6 months - a year before going after big limits.... They will look at what you have experience with
rather than what's in your bank account.....during that one year try for SP cli to get the limits up...
If you can't/don't wait a year,mthen at least 7 months. A CU will give you $5k - $10k .....
I'd honestly be ok with $3000-3500 to get foot in door and use card and pay in full monthly. Do you think that's a possibility? That way, I will have done the 3x cli with Amex as well by then..
I would wait 7 months so the account get good history then apply. For best results that is,
im sure you could get approved for a card but I wouldn't expect no more than $5k with only that 1 card..
if if your going to go for membership, it doesn't hurt to try as they will use the same HP for 45 days. You may apply for
any product of your choice(s)....... Where in Texas are you ?
San Antonio. Should I call them to apply to remind them not to pull credit again?
And joined and the accounts were opened today.
Thanks
Lending is open on Saturday 9am - 4pm. Yes give them a call to let them know you have a report on file.
You should be fine though.
How close to a branch are you ? I did all my membership and apps in a branch.
go to a branch if possible. And take All income docs with you. If not just app online and after your app
you can always call to have them in lending notate that you have a report on file.
