Question about Wal Mart cards.....

My cousin has walmart store card... he wants walmart mastercard too...

Now is it possible to have both cards?? and how he goes about getting mastercard , while having a store card.

Yes he can have both. He would just apply like he would for a regular store card, that is the only way. When he applies they will try him again for the MC and if not approved then the store card again (not sure if he can have more then 1 store card)

The only other option is to wait till he gets a invitation to upgrade to the Mastercard from his store card. There is no rhyme or reason of when that happens. He would just have to wait till it does!

+1 no way you can just do for the mc. just a wasted hp really. just use another card until they invite for it. but of course as with all things credit. ymmv.

There's been a few folks on past threads who tried applying for the MC version after having their store card for sometime.  They flung their fate to the wind (against their better judgement) and ended up with another store card.  If your cousin wants to try for the MC version (without having to wait for the invite), just needs to make sure CR profile is relatively clean, low utilization and scores north of 700.  Keep in mind there are other factors they will consider to be elegible.  But, as others have mentioned, just have your cousin wait until an invite is offered.  Otherwise, no need for duplication in having two cards.

Is there a reason he wants the wally world MC or is it just because it's a MC, there are other cards with the same "features"

Just remember when you upgrade from store card to walmart MC its an new TL, i don't know if i would want the hit when doing that in addtion to benefits not being the best.
