Has anyone apped for both the Venture One and Venture at the same time?
What were your starting limits, and were you approved for both? (or approved for one and declined for the other?)
I have a Venture One with a 3k starting limit. I've heard both cards have the same underwriting, so I might have a chance at the regular Venture as well? I'd love to try for that and then combine the limits six months from now.
One other question: My Eq is my lowest score, and on my Venture One approval letter they had it listed even lower (637). I've heard some have had luck apping with Eq frozen... would it be a good idea to do that before I app again, and is the freeze immediate if I do?
I've only apped for Venture (20k) and Quicksilver SIgnature Visa (approved 5k; recon to 7k) at the same time, and they asked me to call in. I did so and they asked me if I meant to app for two cards at the same time! (ha ha). I told them I did, answered their security questions and approved for both.
Can't speak to Venture One as one venture is enough for me!
I can't speak to freezes but I have heard of people getting turned down when having a freeze. And it is harder and different underwriting to get Venture versus Venture One.
I only plan to app for one this go'round, at least. It is tempting to try for a "two for one" in regard to HP, but I don't really want to even risk two triple pulls. And I really don't need another two Cap1 cards. (though technically I only have two at the moment since I combined two of my cards yesterday.)
I'm mostly trying to gauge if I have a shot of being approved - and I'm curious to see what limits people may have been given on a Venture if they were approved for 3k on a Venture One.
I really regretted applying for the Venture One over the regular Venture after I'd heard they possibly have the same approval criteria.
You need scores over 700 for Venture and I don't think they would give Venture with your scores

Venture and Venture One o not have the same approval criteria - I'm not sure where you heard this.
I've read through the Venture Approval stats page, and tons of people were approved with scores under 700.
The link for reference, in case it is helpful:
My Venture One was approved for $5k
My Venture was approved for $10k
I don't think they have same underwriting at all and I have always disagreed with the poster that said this.
Just like QS and QS1
I can't believe you have 95 cards... hahaha. I'm scared to know how many Ron has.
I'm guessing if I was approved for a Venture at all, it would be for 5k - but I'd have the bonus of it being my first Visa Sig card, which would be nice. Or maybe it'd really surprise me and give me some random higher limit like I've seen other people get with scores similar to mine. I saw that someone once got a $500 card of some type with Cap1, but was approved for a 15k Venture card the same day, I think. Crazy!

Is there a reason to rush? Venture isn't going anywhere...let the Venture One age, show a history, then you can get a Venture later.
