More of a general inquiry- arguably, I already have more credit than I need. Is there any reason not to ask for more? My Amex Everyday and Amex Preferred are both over $20k SL. My usage of these cards is consistent but nowhere near the limit. June is when I would normally ask for a CLI. Is there a cap or negative to asking for another CLI?
The only negative to requesting a CLI that comes to mind would be a HP/inquiry, but I believe AmEx is a SP for CLI's. As long as you're responsible with it, you can never have too much available credit IMHO.

Potentially. If you seek to open up some sort of credit product with a very conservative bank/CU later down the line and your overall available credit is too high for their liking, they may deny you membership/said credit product.
As far as a cap, I believe with Amex if you go above $35k, you may be asked for POI, but I don't know that they have an actual hard limit.
