Question on Cap One application

Good Day!

At the end of March I applied for a cap one cc and was approved. Last week, I applied for the Venture after reviewing my credit reports and scores and was denied. The letter states the denial was due a pending or recent application.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Should I re-apply or call in. Or is there a limit? I’m thinking I should wait and try again in 6 months or so.

Thanks

Re: Question on Cap One application

Only 1 capital one card every 6 months. Doesn't apply to co-branded cards. I got a platinum, PlayStation, and Kohls card all within 6 months, 2 of them were a week apart.

I want to also note that my Kohls was approved on a soft pull which I thought was odd.

Re: Question on Cap One application

Yeah, you're limited to one new Capital One card every six months. But the good news is that they didn't do any hard pulls to tell you that.
