Is Amex lowering their standards with the Amex Everyday card or are they just on a recruitment drive? Ive been using Credit Karma for awhile now and all of a sudden
under recommendations the Amex EveryDay all of a sudden appears with approval odds at "Good" Now i know something is wrong because no Amex card has never hit my
list let alone at "Good" odds. My FICOs are basically the same now as my sig. Util down from 22% to 15%
About 2 weeks ago i went to Amex.com and did th pre-qualify app and got no offers ( surprise surprise ) After seeing my odds as being "Good" i retryed the pre-qualify
and still no offers.
Now for my questions
1) Is there a push ongoing for Amex EveryDay card and
2) When i just did the prequalify today, did Amex reuse my old soft pull data or was it based off of current CR?
I know I have almost no shot at any Amex card atm barring divine intervention but hope does spring eternal
Thanks

First, I would completely ignore what CK says about your approval chances. They are a marketing site that gets paid for people to apply via their links.
There is no push that I'm aware of and they would have based their answer to your preapproval link by a previous SP but only way to know for sureis to check your SPs which can be difficult to do.

This. Although I did see a change recently that indicates they may be paying at least a little attention to matching profiles to cards. The three Chase branded cards all went from Very Good to Poor for me. Poor is correct since I'm way over the 5/24 deal.

When CK tells you your chances are "good" or "very good" etc. it's completely meaningless. Don't pay it no mind.
Thanks everyone. I kinda knew the answer
