Questions about App Sprees

Hello everyone. Smiley Happy

When a person app sprees, say for 5 cards in the same day, what will credit card banks see?

Do they see whatever was on your report before the app spree plus the additional 5 hps and the bank names?  Or do they also see the amounts you app'd for and the results (accept/declined)?

I guess what I am wondering is...if I app for card #1, then card #2, ...all the way to card #5 ( all on the same day), what will the bank for, say, card #3 know about regarding the apps for card #1 and card #2?  Nothing but the name of the company and hp?

Thanks inadvance for responding. Smiley Happy

Well all any lender will be able to see at the time you app spree is your inquiries besides that they will not know who approved you yet .

Cool. That's what I was hoping.  I didn't know if what we see on the CR was the exact same inf that banks/lenders see.

Re: Questions about App Sprees

So, I guess given that, it is better to app spree than to spread out the apps several days.

Re: Questions about App Sprees

It's all an individual preference, some like to go ahead and do a spree and get all their cards on the same trip so they will all age together and others like to spread them out by a couple mths . It's really up to you .

Re: Questions about App Sprees

I'm not the most savvy, but I did 2 new apps and 2 CLI on the same day; and it is sooo rewarding!! Idk what your situation is but recommend you do solid apps, not too many store cards, IMO.
Good luck and let us know what you end up doing and the results, that was the most encouraging thing I had read before I app'd for mines

Re: Questions about App Sprees

Until a new account starts reporting no one would know if you were approved or for how much or anything about it. You would just have more inquiries. That said you probably wouldn't have to do it all in the same day just considering how long some banks like bofa generally take to start reporting. It actually might raise some fraud suspicions if you did too many all at once, but I doubt 5 is high enough for that. Even so, id start with the one you want the most and work your way to the one you're least hopeful to get.

Richie_Dee, thanks for responding. Smiley Happy
Yes, I don't care too much for SCs - so all on my list are solid apps.

I have narrowed down my list and to ensure I'm only getting cards I feel fit portfolio and will be useful. Currently I have 6 to be app'd. And that's a LOT for me.

I am concerned though about the affect the new cards will have on my AAoA. Smiley Sad

Right now the number of accounts (not CC accounts) is 14 and AAoA is 13yr 9m with the oldest account being 21 years. All but two of the 14 accounts are paid and closed. The remaining two are 1 CC and 1 SC. I've had the 1 CC since Feb of this year. The 1 SC is over 6 yrs old.

I just want to get this CC app thing out of the way - so I can move on into gardening and watching my seedlings grow!

Yeah, I definitely want to get it over and done with.  Smiley Very Happy
