Re: Random AMEX question

I dont see these other cards coming up in the pre-qual site for me so makes me wonder if my approval chances are even less with them..

Re: Random AMEX question

Does anyone know how long these pre-qual offers from Amex site are valid for I couldn't find it. 30 days maybe?

Re: Random AMEX question

Prequalified offers can come and go as often as a day, but more realistically they change depending on how often that creditor updates the site.

If your pre approved for the Blue cash, ED and PRG. You should be able to get just about any card with them.

The blue cash and ED cards are probably the strictest underwriting criteria and if you can get the PRG. You should be able to get any charge card.

So with being pre-approved for those cards. You should in theory be able to get any card with them. I got a Delta Gold with a 610 EX score. Normally the co-branded cards are the easiest to get

Re: Random AMEX question

I will say I've had those 3 prequals pop up since Nov 2017. I like the Charge cards of Amex I just am not 100% sure I'd use it enough to justify the AF of $195. Suprised the Green amex did not come up during the prequal.

Is it possible to skip the Charge option and just do two revolvers same day using the same HP? Say AMEX denies the PRG do they flat out deny or would they counter say with the AMEX Green card?

I am also assuming theres no difference between me cold apping the cards I would really want on their site vs only applying for what came up in the prequal. Approval odd wise i mean.

Re: Random AMEX question

I believe opening a savings account could open a door with Amex to their credit card department. It’s seemed to have worked for me in getting prequalified and subsequently approved for the Blue Cash Everyday card. The savings account isn’t even funded yet. It’s been about a week since I opened the account. The theory has merit. I did have to get a hard pull for the credit app though.

Re: Random AMEX question

Did they pull EX or all 3?  I am prequalled already for 3 cards but they aren't the cards I would truly be after. Also 42% utlization on the cards I'm a AU on I think will likely lead to a denial. So though a goal in 2018 is to get in with Amex I think I will need to wait.

Re: Random AMEX question

As far as I know just Experian. Yeah, I wanted the Blue Cash Everyday card, and possibly get other cards later on. My utilization is 15 percent.

Re: Random AMEX question

Been reading your posts, wondering if you ever applied for the AMEX Gold?

Re: Random AMEX question

I have been patient but no app yet. Never had been this patient before lol. The thought did occur to me to apply tonight but my only fear or concern is the utilization.

I did recently apply for a savings through Amex but haven’t heard back they said it would be 7-10 days. So I could wait until Monday when I call Amex about the savings to see if that truly helps in this process at all or I could not wait and app now.

Decisions ...haha
