Re-app timeline?

Is there a database to re-app for denials ie wait 30 days, 6 mos, one year?

I was summarily denied by Chase & Barclays 6-8 weeks ago but, have had fairly significant improvement in my CRs and scores since that time. I have targeted Freedom/CSP and Rewards but, I don't want to re-app prematurely if they have a definitive waiting period.

I just "opted-in" so the pre-qual won't work for me

Mailed offers for Chase and Barclay are usually golden especially Chase

So, you're suggesting I wait to see if I receive any offers in snailmail, rather than re-app online?

That's presuming they even check my profile again if no interest is initiated by me

oh sorry I read "You have Targeted" as they have sent you targeted offers" I kept saying that's odd that you got targeted offers when youw ere opted out but whatever go with it! haha

I would give it a couple weeks for your opt-in to start back up and then check online for Chase offers, Citi, and American Express

you can't check online for barclay so unless you get one in the mail which I think is kind of rare then you have to cold apply

Re: Re-app timeline?

I was wondering the same thing with Barclays. I applied last in October so it's been almost 3 months (90 days in about 1 week) I wanted to reapply because I would love to have the rewards for our cable, phone, and electric bill to get the 2% and since I fell out of the garden for target yesterday I was thinking of reapplying now before I freeze my CRs back up but I don't want to apply to soon and get denied again Smiley Sad

CQ,

LOL, I was just reading/researching Barclays again! I was denied the Rewards & Apple Barclays about 5 weeks ago and I'm considering re-apping BUT, I'm undecided that it's worth it for a likely low CL($1200-2000) even if approved.

I have a couple new CCs with $3K CLs and if I'm going to app, it's going to be for a card that will likely offer a higher CL than those.

BTW, I notice you have CreditOne, I just cancelled mine after 3 months at the suggestion of some experienced credit gurus since it's a sub-prime card and I've increased my total CL from $1100 tp over $15K...food for thought!

You might want to consider some Comenity cards, like Sportsmans Guide Visa & FuelRewardsNetwork MC

Re: Re-app timeline?

Thank you!! I have only had my Credit one since August so about 4-5 months. I want to cancel it and will probably cancel it this month. Some people said to wait till my next annual fee is due which I would close it in July and some said to get rid of it now lol I hate looking at it so I'm probably going to close it this month so it's one less account I have to worry about. I really want to replace it with Barclay Rewards but don't know if I should app again so soon lol. if u find anything out please let me know and I will do the same lol. My utilities a month are only $600-$650 so as long as I get approved to cover that it would be great so I could get the 2 points and of course PIF since I normally put those bills on my debit card I started recently trying to put them on my Quicksilver one or Navy card to get the 1.5% back but the 2% would be even better. Then of course hopefully it will grow with me. Good Luck with whatever you decide!

Re: Re-app timeline?

I was also thinking about the commenity co-branded cards but I don't think my scores are there yet. I read you have to be closer to 700 and my scores bounce around between 650-670 besides EQ I still have 2 old charge offs that fall off in April that TU and Ex already deleted but because they are still on EQ it's only 608 Smiley Sad

Re: Re-app timeline?

Consider this, as far as Comenity is concerned, my scores were in the low 600s when I was approved. Of course, scores aren't the whole story but, I was pleasantly surprised

Re: Re-app timeline?

Well I just called the Backdoor number to Barclays (underwriters) to ask and she said the system will auto decline if it's in between 120 days from last app. So 4 months! I'm sure you could call and get the UW to re pull your credit but it will not be a instant approval.
