I currently have the AMEX PRG. I have seen a few people on here have both cards. What are the advantages to having both? Should I apply for the AMEX Platinum or should I wait and just upgrade my PRG to the platinum once my year is up?
If you travel a lot then it may be worth having platinum, if you don't there is no reason to have it. Annual fee is really $250 after your $200 airline credit.
I like my Plat card because I do travel domestic and international, and use many of their benefits.
I'm considering either PRG or EDP to go along Plat card for better MR.
Plat is a perks card. The point earning sucks besides the signup bonus so a lot of holders don't even swipe it, except for hotel or flight upgrade opportunities.
PRG is a points card with an emphasis on travel. EDP is a points card with an emphasis on gas/groceries/nonbons spend. Generally only one is recommended because they both have AF and overlap.
Platinum+prg or platinum+edp are good combos then for points and perks.

OP it looks like you have Citi Prestige in your sig which overlaps Platinum card. Probally not worth another AF.
Thanks for the help and advice. I believe I will just stick with the combos that I currently have.
I'd have to agree. You're packing some heat in that sig, I'd not change a thing, unless I was never going back to a specific hotel chain or something.
