Recon Capital One VentureOne?

Anytips on recon with a Capital One VentureOne card? I app'd today and was denied. Waiting on the letter. Currently have 2x cards with Capital One, QS1 and a Platinum Secured (that will never ever unsecure according to customer service). Was app-ing for this while finishing out my last app spree so I could replace the secured card with this card.I got approvals for AMEX BCE, AMEX PRG w/ NPSL, and AMEX Delta Skymiles Gold, so I got a bit cocky and went for the VentureOne. Anyway to get something out of this app as Cap1 hit all three bureaus?

Cap1 isn't real good on recon. From the last denial I received I went through their EO for recon; got a call from them, nice polite conversation about why I applied and what I wanted out of the card....then, sorry but we stand by our original decision. My denial was solely for inquiries. Cap1 was the main card I had been using for two years

I emailed the Capital One EO yesterday. Waiting to hear back. This all just stems back to this secured card I want to close and replace with an unsecured product. I already have the QS card from them. Every time I've called about unsecuring the secured card they refer me to apply for the Venture card. So I actually go and do it and this is hwere I end up.

funny thing about this is that i was in this boat before.... 4 years ago i started with a capital one secured card, a year later decided my credit should be better let me apply for the quicksilver so i did and got a denial letter dont remember exactly what it was for but when i got the letter i do remember sending them a letter as to why they should reconsider my application and low and behold i got a response back through email saying they approved me for 1500 sl since then ive been hit an miss with cli ill either get about 1000 or one time i just got 300 most of the time though i do have to admit my utilization with them was about 80 percent i know im not proud of it but hey i learned my lessons

also im in the same death pit with the secured card, that it will always be secured so i cant do anything with it no cli no pc nothing so worthless

Cap1 is dreadful for recons. I dont even now why they have a customer support center when their standard answer to any question is "I cant override the computers denial"

The only reason why I dont close my 2 Cap1 cards is becuase they are 10 years old with no AF.

They really let the computer systems run everything with no way to over ride anything the computer system does. Discovered this while trying to unsecure a 2 year old secured card with them. Why bother having customer service people?

So I got the letter today regarding the denial. Too many recent inquiries is the only reason stated.

Can someonI send me the EO email? I'm not sure I have the right one.

Heard back from the Capital One EO just now. Nothing they can do. Advised to reapply, even tho the issue cited is too many inqueries so applying again would actually be counter productive.

As for the secured card. Nothing they can do. It's secured. Advised that I could cancel it or keep it. But nothing can be done with it. Cant even be merged in to my QS card. 

What a waste of time and HPs.
