Hi. Same day I app’d and approved for Savor a couple weeks ago I app’d for the Chase Slate Edge. 0 apr for 18 months sounds good and maybe PC later.
I’m over 5/24, scores in sig, and just wanted to give it a shot before I head back in the garden. I knew approval for this card wasn't *as* strict but I wasn’t surprised w the denial.
Got the denial letter and turns out the only reason they have listed for the denial was BK. That’s it. Not inquires, 5/24, etc. Just the bankruptcy.
My BK is 8 years old. Is a successful recon possible?
eta: never had a chase credit card in the last
You can try, but that's probably going to stay as a "not at this time"
Also, the only reason why your 5/24 status wasn't referenced is because BK is present on CR, which is automatic disqualifier.
I'm not sure what you mean by "not as strict", UW (in terms of 5/24 and BK on file) is identical to other chase cards.
So if you are to make recon call and somehow get pass the BK part, you'd still be left with being over 5/24.

I only mentioned that based on old posts I read on here while researching. But they were really old posts and wasn't much other data on the card so I'm sure I misinterpreted.
tyvm for the response.
The BK question does come up here fairly regularly, but the main point is that Chase will auto-deny with a BK reporting.
