Recon ?

I aplied for 3 CC's , Cap One, Barclay and Amazon Visa. Approved for CO and Barclay but denied in Amazon. I called the back door number and answered a few questions but was still denied. I thought it was because of my BK but the CSR told me it was because of the young age of all my new credit, all new credit is less than a year out. They where not really concerned with the BK just the age of new credit. My question is should I try to Recon again and if so, how long should I wait? Also, do they do another hard pull or a soft one?  Thanx

If you recon, they would just the report they already pulled.  If you are going to recon again, do it right away..   If not,  I'd say give your new accounts 6 months and try again.

I have a 20+ year history but my new accounts are less than a year. The accounts they are looking at are all post BK, even though I have a HELOC with Chase since 1999 and have never missed a payment, They seemed to brush that off even though I mentioned it, and its just about paid off. I knew I shouldnt have hit that APPLY button!

What if you get the same CSR? lol

Use same number.  If you get the same CSR, hang up and try again.  On my most recent approval with Chase, it took me 3 tries.

Well, 2 recons..same result..new credit too young..guess I'll try one more time..already used to "NO"

Thats the spirit.  Remember all you need is that 1 sympathetic analyst. Call again, again, and again.
