Reconsideration for Amex CLI

Does anyone know if it is possible to get an additional Amex CLI before 6 months?  Normally, I wouldn't care, but my limit is very low.  I am at $3k, and I normally average $6-7k per month.  I pay in full and have to make multiple payments each billing cycle.  I think my initial limit was low ($1k) due to an error that was on my report (when I was approved).  My son's student loan was reporting as 30 days past due.  It was supposed to be in deferment, which they corrected and removed the late payment.  I wish I had known about this...I would have waited before applying.

I tried for an increase but got denied for receiving a CLI within the past 180 days.  I sent a reconsideration letter and included 3 months bank statements.  I thought maybe that would help.  I got a one sentence reply, which said that they had to uphold the original decision.

Is there anything that I can do?  I've tried callilng, but I was told to send a letter.  It's really frustrating when I have accounts with $20k+ limits, no delinquency, high scores, low utilization, and no debt.  It's funny how I can run $20k through my PRG charge, but I can't get them to extend additional credit on my Blue.

I appreciate any input.

They most likely won't do anything about it. They will state that they have already given you the increase and to wait the 181 days, if you have other accounts with $20k+ limits then why worry about this one? Just wait the 181 days then ask for what you want.
