Removed Fraud Alert

After being on the phone 3 hrs today  I managed to get 2 of the 3 bureaus to remove my fraud alert. I put it on back in 2013 because I thought my credit may have been compromised and since then have left them on however since im trying to build my CC's I have heard the alert can hinder Pre approvals and you may get denied credit. I also opt'd back in to recieve offers of pre approvals. I will stay opt'd in for a few yrs until i build my CC's and then opt back out I hate a lot of mail and offers but will see if this changes my chances. I think it may take a few months to start seeing offers but the fraud alert removal was immediate, I will try the other bureau again on Monday...Wish me luck!!!

Good luck. It took me several months to start receiving offers after opting back in, and OneMain Financial is the only one sending me offers. It took DW a month or two, then the Verve offer arrived.

lol. seems they do, this stuff is not a walk in the park to start off but will definitely pay off in the long run, i wont bee expecting anything for a few months so it will give me time to garden what I have
