Requesting a CLI from Wells Fargo Propel

Curious how difficult is it to request a CLI from them?

Got the card almost 2 months ago - used it alot since.

Not seeing anywhere online to request the CLI.

Do they do a HP for a CLI?

Re: Requesting a CLI from Wells Fargo Propel

You can call the number on your card and ask for a soft pull CLI. If no soft pull CLI is available they will let you know and offer a hard pull. At this point you can refuse the hard pull.

I had SP success on both WF cards recently, including a Propel. Details here. Good luck.

Calling is the way to do it.

Be prepared to be asked how much. When its electronically submitted, if the CSR tells you immediately, your good (for your requested amount or counter amount). If you hear that they have to send to UW, then its a crapshoot.

Thanks James. I wonder with me being so new to the card (~2-months) if they would consider me
for a CLI. We'll see, maybe I'll buzz and try...

Well, its possible, but less likely than that of being a customer for 1 year.

James, is it as simple as calling up and saying "Yes, I am calling for a CLI and I want to make sure its just a SP"?

My only experience with CLIs (2) has been online and I am 1 for 2.

Easy to request, not so easy to get!

Got the card almost 2 months ago - used it alot since.

2 Months is a relatively short period.

Not seeing anywhere online to request the CLI.

Have to call ..

Do they do a HP for a CLI?

Both   .. you ask if a SP is available?, If they tell You they have to go further it is a HP.

Then it is up to you "if" you want the HP? ..WF is VERY conservative.

Yes. The CSR will take your info, including requested CL, and feed it into the computer. Then you will get a YES or NO.

If it is NO, you have the option to be transferred to an UW for a HP CLI consideration.

If it is a YES but you are dissatisfied with the size of the CLI, you have the option to be transferred to an UW for a HP CLI consideration.

Note: the computer will counter-offer on the CLI amount if you overshoot, so do not sell yourself short.
