Requesting capital one initial credit limit increase..

Anybody has experience with this ... So I was approved for $5000 credit limit and am still waiting on card ... Is it possible to request a increase in starting limit before I receive and use card ? I want to make a large purchase but I would like a bigger increase .. Are they known for allowing or they will tell me to wait ... What do you guys recommend ? Is there a number to call ..

Capital One does not recon initial limit. Some people have reported increases after 3rd statement but it is not guaranteed. Usually you have to wait 6 months for an increase.

You can try but it won't be honored.  Capital One likes to see some usuage before giving a CLI.

I recieved a $3000 increase after 60 days on my Venture but ymmv though
