@Legal_Girl. I had trouble finding it also. Was on my phone though. So I requested desktop site then on their page hit "full site". It took me to anlther page and I found it from there. Its under "services". Hope this helps.
@K-in-Boston wrote:Heh. For kicks I just asked for $35k on both Lowe's ($25k now) and Amazon ($12k now). Yeah that new "Your request for an increase has been denied." message is indeed a little harsher than the we are unable to approve your request at this time or whatever it was. Expected both to be denied since asking on the website has given me the "our policy does not allow for higher credit lines" or whatever it is letter. I have no pressing need to call CS on these cards.
Although they gave me CLI on Amazon, they DENIED me on Lowes.
You are right, very harsh.
Back to the backdoor number maybe in a month or two.
DON'T WORK FOR CREDIT CARDS ... MAKE CREDIT CARDS WORK FOR YOU!
While the revamped CLI page helped get my Lowes from 17K to 35K I wasn't getting anything with Google or Amazon. Just the flat out denials. Today, I received a letter to call in following last week's "denial" on my Google account. I went from 10K to 15K on Google (want to limit my exposure and don't need more for a phone or pixelbook). I was feeling lucky so I called again for Amazon. I went from 10K to 25K. So still something to be said for calling CS if you're in one of the harder cards to nudge. This is all I need from Synchrone. Not trying to go for a blue envelope!
Awesome Elkteck on the AMZ bump. I might have to give them a ring soon to bump mines up from $10k since this past April.
I noticed the change too. In my experience there is still no hard pulls with the new feature. It seems to work like chat or calling in to the automated sytem new. I have quite a few synch cards and have been working some limits up. So i have requested a bunch of times on different cards. All soft pulld. The new online feature will counter just like chat or credit solutions too so ask high. i asked for 8,000 on my marvel and got 7,000. Its so much easier being able to request online. I went through credit solutions once for my ebates card, but i like to either do chat or on the page now .
@Anonymous wrote:Does anyone know if they're getting a HP when using this new CLI page? I see the button on my Care Credit account but the fear of a HP is stopping me, lol
I have requested 5 cli on my husbands care credit card, all have been soft pulls. 3 were approved. 2 denied. He got the card in 2015 with a 500 credit line. Used it once at the vet in 2015 and then once again at the vet in 2016. I didnt even know about requesting cli back then . Finally learned a ton about credit july of 2017 and the first time i asked for an increase on the card was august 2017. immediate increase from 500 to 8,000. No hard pull. Then asked again in September after a statement cut and got to 12,000. No hard pull. Denied in october for insufficient experience at credit limt. No hard pull. Approved November to 15,000. No hard pull. Denied in december for insufficient experinece at credit limt. No hard pull. Like you i read stories of how the care credit card was the only sync card that was guaranteed a hard pull, but mostly those stories are from 2016 and older. Not saying it cant happen but it has not happened to me, so i figured i would jump on this new no hard pull for care credit while i can before they change it Hope this helps.
I decided to take a stab at applying for CLI's on Amazon and Walmart just now, got turned down flat most likely because it hasn't been enough time since my previous CLI's yet and also possibly because my net income is still the same. I'm expecting my salary COLA to kick in later this month and probably also a step increase next month (I work for the Federal Gov't), so I'll give it another try sometime in February.
I have several Synchrony backed cards..
Care Credit - Lowes - Sleep Number - BP Visa - and just last summer- Amazon.
Amazon has been the stingiest with limits & inc reases. Maybe cuz it's new....
