Revisiting Citi Double Cash

So I will try to make this as brief as possible:

Back in January, I app'd for Citi DC, and I was declined. The letter (and the recon rep) both said it was because of a BK that was on my report and that Citi does not approve anything with a BK on the report (which is kinda funny since back in August 2019 they approved a Citi/Costco card, but whatever lol). At the time of the app the BK was scheduled to come off in June, the rep mentioned try coming back in a few months AFTER the BK is off. Instead of waiting until June, I tried to get an EE on all 3Bs. I was successful on 2 of the 3 (EX and TU). My denial letter shows that Citi pulled from EX. Would you say if I re-app'd my success odds should be better this time, or am I forgetting a Citi app rule?

EDIT: I called the recon line while I was waiting for this question to be answered, and she was willing to check again, mentioning it would be a HP with the same CB (EX). I had thought since I gave her my application ID that they would just do a SP. I was worried about having her check and wasting a HP and getting denied once again, so I told her not to. She mentioned if I changed my mind, to call again, however if it was after 90 days since the app (currently its 60) that I would have to submit a new app and they could pull from another CB. I was also worried how many INQs they take into consideration with a denial, even though the letter doesn't mention that. I checked my free EX account it has me at 9 total INQs (4 in the last 6-months).

Re: Revisiting Citi Double Cash

I agree with waiting. Its only a few more months. When I was approved for my DC, I was double pulled.

As for why your were approved for the Costco, although its a legacy card, it has a history of being easier being approved with a BK reporting. There are a few below.
