Ritz Carlton- Card Arrival Wait Time?

Just wondering how long people have waited befor they received their cards? I am traveling and figured I'd start to break in the card on this trip.

Called today but they said while they see it in the system, there is no number assigned and it is pending. Figured after two days it would be showing but maybe not?

Figured I'd see what everyone elses experience was. Approval message below. It was approved for $34k so I don't think they question anything, I'm likely just being inpatient!

Congratulations! We've approved your application for a credit card from JPMorgan.

We'll send your new card and complete account information in the mail within the next two weeks.
Once you receive your card, call the number on the sticker right away so you can take advantage of
everything your card has to offer.
Thank you for applying for a JPMorgan credit card. We look forward to serving you.

Re: Ritz Carlton- Card Arrival Wait Time?

It can take 7-10 days before it arrives. It's  delayed because of the creation of the Marriot account or tying your card to your existing account. This is definitely not a quick arriving card.

Great CL btw.

Call and ask them to expedite. Mine took 2 days.

Re: Ritz Carlton- Card Arrival Wait Time?

I waited until I got the email from Marriott announcing my Silver Status (or Gold in your case for the Ritz card) then called to expedite, also think it took two days from the call...

A little OT, but that's a strange message from JPM, all their credit cards (Ritz, Palladium, and the no longer available JPM Select) always come pre-activated without any stickers attached.

@Anonymous far as your question, these are unusual times for JPM - they're overwhelmed by the number of people who are applying for the card lately. They've had the 140k offer before but for some reason an incredible amount of apps are coming in this time.  Probably due to @Anonymous's post Smiley Very Happy

When I applied 2 years ago, I got it the next day without asking for expediting - I already had a Marriott's reward account # and I was approved early in the AM to meet their overnite ship cut-off time.  A relative of mine applied recently and it took 7 business days for it to arrive.  But their usual MO is to automatically overnite any new, replacement, AU's etc.  And unfortunately they all come in the big box.

Re: Ritz Carlton- Card Arrival Wait Time?

Just a heads up, your card will more than likely be plastic. They are currently in the middle of a supply constraint from of their suppliers and as dilettante said there has been very high demand due to the 140k points.

I'm debating once mine post to open a Marriott Card as well for the intro offer to combine them with my Ritz points and make a little bit of UR and just splurge on a vacation.

What UR points?  Neither card is an UR point earner

I think they plan on pooling the Ritz/Marriott points and collecting some more UR with a different card in order to get the ball rolling on a nice vacation. At least this is how I understood it.

Otherwise i'd have said UR dreaming if you think the Ritz/Marriott earn UR's. Smiley Tongue
