There is a hack or something NOW on Reddit that allows one to get the Robinhood Gold without the normal wait to come off the list. Just did it and got approved for 10K. Card on the way. Unfroze Experian for the softpull, once approved, before accepting, froze it, to keep from getting a hard pull (what little that helps, your still going to get dinged for a new CC). So far so good.
How to Get the Robinhood Gold Card (Updated Credit Karma Method) : r/CreditCards
Just click on the link in #4 and it let me apply. Did it on my PC, with Robinhood account logged in.

All my heeming and hawing about not getting this card, I did in the end, lol. I just like Robinhood's interface too much. Might as well take advantage of what the Gold membership entitles for the $50 fee, will pay for itself in the long run. One 3% general spend CC backup, never hurts. Taking up a new CC slot and no SUB, does, but oh well, got to grab these CC's when they present themselves for the long run. Can always garden a little longer for my next catch. Unlike some thinking, I think this CC will retain it's full reward feature for a long time without any major nerf. I think Robinhood has figured out a way to break even on it and even benefit/profit from it for other areas of it's business.

It does work although I would be cautious of using this method and also how long will the 3% be around as well? Anyways I was curious and certainly did work but did not proceed. Best of luck for you that go forward with it and hopefully the account doesn't get shut down. I don't trust RH ever since they sided with the hedgefunds vs gamestop and stopped the trading so the hedgefunds didn't lose their arse worse than they already did. Will never use them for anything after that as was shady as heck.
This worked for me. I'm still bummed that X1 changed their rewards category, but I’ll take the 3% back while it lasts (until next month). I pulled the trigger and got approved for the Robinhood card with a $10k limit, which is lower than the $30k I have with X1. My account is currently frozen while they verify my identity. I skimmed through the terms and holy $h!t, the APR is 29.99%. That’s wild. It doesn’t affect me since I always pay in full (X1’s never made a dime off me), but still, that rate is brutal. If you’re on the fence about the Robinhood card, I say go for it: 3% is solid, ability to make temporary cards, extended warranty, return protection, and purchase security on a no annual fee card. That’s hard to beat. One downside with the new card... it looks like cell phone protection didn’t make the cut on the new card. A bit of a letdown.
They verified my identity already early this morning. Although the wait on the physical card will be in November. No big deal. I did, meanwhile get a digital version which could be promptly loaded onto my google wallet for use. There was a call back from Robinhood letting me know that the card was activated and available for use. No HP on Experian since it was locked.

Oh wow thanks brother this totally worked!! Props to you and of course to the original Reddit poster who figured it out.
Bizarrely, about two months ago Robinhood banned me because I was using a 1%-back debit card to fund my RH investing account and then transferring the money out via ACH without actually investing (I use Webull, not a huge fan of the RH trading UI). Probably triggered a money-laundering algo. RH investigated and, after a week, shut down my account with some money left in it. I contacted CFPB and a week later RH allowed me back into the account to ACH out the rest of my money. Thought I was done with RH.
But then just now I followed the instructions in the reddit post and was approved for $10,000... LOLOLOL.. They still had my personal information from my shut-down account and used it to pre-populate the application form. Color me surprised. No hard pull on any report either. Then I downloaded the RH credit card app and it made me verify my identity with snaps of my driver's license and a selfie. Looks to be working....??
We'll see if RH shuts me down again due to my history with them but right now everything seems to be working. I'll give myself about a 75% chance of being shut down though, probably before the card even arrives.
In any event, I was on that **bleep** waitlist since March, 2024! Even if they shut down this card and boot me again, it's been fun and I appreciate this thread. Thanks OP!
LOL it works indeed ! Got approved but only a $5k limit. Do I need a Robinhood account to use the card b/c they always say they cant open my Robinhood account and dont give a reason !!! Please let me know before I proceed ! Thank you !

There is a $50 annual fee for the Robinhood Gold membership which is required for the credit card. You'll definitely want an account to take advantage of it. Let alone you only get the full 3% reward via a deposit to your brokerage account with Robinhood.
If I were you, (don't know your story but don't assume the worst), I would get the card and see if later you can get the brokerage account open (might have some leverage). Otherwise without the brokerage account, if even possible, it's not worth getting. You would be better off with the AVEN 3% CC, no annual fee. I got both, never know if one or the other gets nerfed.
