Rolled the dice on CSP-30 day message

Last few days I got approved for Discover and Amex. My goal card is Chase Saphire Preferred as it fits my spending habits best. Bars and restaurants are where I spend the most money. Anyway. My scores shouldn't be anywhere close to an approval. I got the 30 day message which I GUESS is better than a flat out denial. Should I call in tomorrow?

You can call robolady tomorrow.

Here's a key:

7-10 day message - Likely Denial 95/5
14 day message - Likely Approval 80/20
30 day message - 50/50

Dumb and Dumber one of the best movies ever!

Definitely a chance I applied for a Chase card in January got the 30 day message then got a letter asking for additional verification. Once they received it robolady changed to 14 days then 8 days later approved.

Honestly I had given up hope because so many on here kept saying 30 days is bad, but I'd say 50/50 Smiley Happy

It's only the first day give it 24 full hours from when you app'd then check it it's still 7-10 days then you have a 5% chance of approval. But it's still a chance!

Re: Rolled the dice on CSP-30 day message

Called in spoke with an analyst this morning. Status had been changed to a decline due to short history with my other accounts, which would make sense because I've only had revolving credit for 6 months.

Should I recon now or just garden what I have until I'm in better position for the CSP? My Disco and Amex are in the mail on the way so those were not on my report. Neither would help with my short history problem. To recon or not to recon?

I would give it 6-12 months of gardening. Then go into a branch and ask to see if you have any prequalified offers.
