I did receive an invitation for the Hyatt card before even applying to CSP, but now Im too afraid to even bother with the Hyatt invite.

An invitation is just an invitation not a preapproval so chances are you would be denied for the same reasons.

OP! I would call to recon. It is very possible you will be denied and the process itself will be an uphill battle. That said, there is a small chance you may be approved. Remember that the underwriter can affect the outcome, so there is a level of subjectivity that can play to your favor. The worst thing that can happen is that you burn some time, on the other hand you could get approved! I don't want to get your hopes up, but you never know! Good luck

I called, and they didn't budge, I was ok with it. I was hoping to surprise my husband with a trip to washington D.C. next year in May for Police Week since he has been a Police Officer for 18 yrs and his buddy was killed in the line of duty 3 yrs ago, but whatever. I'll still take him, just more overtime hours for me slinging pills in my pharmacy

You could still try for a cobranded card. The 5/24 rule doesn't apply to those, the UW seems to be more lenient, and the SLs tend to be more generous.

I was going to try for the Hyatt card. I received an invation for that a few weeks ago.But im a little worried to take another hit on my Experian.That seems to be my only score that trickles in score increase. And I just lost 7 points applying for the CSP. Advice? Y or N on going for that.I'm a big Hyatt person.It's the only hotel I stay at when I go down south andI am a member of the Hyatt passport for hotel points.

Your call of course and I'd hate for you to take another HP and end up getting denied. But like I said, cobranded seem to be far more relaxed and hand out awesome limits. How many inquiries do you currently have?
