Hello All,
I am sending a recon letter in to Citi and want to include my 2014 W2 to prove income. I would assume this is safe, considering they already have my SSN from my application. Anyone out there have experience sending their W2 for recon purposes or have advice as to why I shouldn't?
Any information would be much appreciated!
Thanks as always!

If CIti did not ask for it, why would you send it in? If they need to verify income, they will ask you for permission to get it directly from the IRS as Amex does.

+1, if they didnt ask for it, they dont care and it is not the issue. I just looked up your other thread and the problem is probably exactly what they told you with plenty of new accounts and inquries. Go garden for 6 months and let them all grow and age and then I am pretty sure you wont have an issue.
I would say do try to recon. It never hurts as you have already had an inquiry on your CR. But do not send any document that they did not ask for.
Agree with the others. No need to send in the w2 right now. Need to deal with the other issues as income is seldom the actual reason for a denial unless your income was very low which I know it's not.
Dont send the W-2!!! - in case the previous 5 posters were not convincing enough
Good luck
Never send any documents that a company hasn't asked for to them. No reason too. If they really want to see a pay stub or proof of income they will ask you. Usually they ask when you ask for a very large increase or say you make $100,000 a year but your credit limits are only at $500. Not always the case but usually they will ask for further proof if needed.
attach a $100 instead
