Hey everyone!
So, I'm thinking about adding another "store" card to my arsenal. The one that I have my eye on is the Saks World Elite MasterCard by Cap1. I'm not a big fan of Cap1, but, I figured a store card might bet a better fit for me with them. I did the prequals on their site for their cards and was offered a couple at the highest APR. I know the Saks is an apply in store card. What do they like to see in order for approval?
Need to update my scores, but all are over 775. Got my Chase back in Feb. Purchased a second car in May on loan through Mazda Financial Services. Utilization is between 1%-2%.
Thanks for any help. I don't see a lot of posts about this card.

I would call the MasterCard version a cobranded card not a store card.
Unless you have a lot of recent credit seeking behavior I would be surprised if you were not approved given the stats you listed.
What makes this card attractive to you?
If your profile were marginal I would have suggested stay away since the fate of Saks is far from certain.
Unless you have some high stakes credit application coming up you should be fine either way.

Here's the online link: https://saks.capitalonecards.com/#/apply (unless mc version is in store)
I was looking into this card until I saw it was Cap1. I think @nuohlac has this card, maybe he can shed some light on dp's.

You are correct, the Saks Fifth Avenue WEMC is an apply in store only card; it is a single HP they use TU. The hardest part is getting to Saks. They have their own in house CSR staff and you do nothing with Capital One unless you call and the Saks CSR office in Mississippi is closed. Then you will be forwarded to a Capital One CSR. I have pasted both my approval and CLI approval posts here for you to review. I would personally say the card is worth it for the 3X points at spa's, salons and barbershops alone. I primarily use it for that when not shopping at Saks. You cannot see it in my avatar but there is a beautiful blonde Mohawk on top of my head. So I spend more than my fare share of time and money at a barbershop. I hope you make the decision that you feel is best for you. If you have any other questions I am available.

@nuohlac love the pic! ...and the hair.
You really dodged a disappointment bullet there @GApeachy . If you are anywhere near a Saks and have the time I would grab one when you are there. The whole process took less than 10 minutes in person and you get a same day discount instore and online. Your also gain points shopping at Saks Off Fifth as well. Thank you 😊
Looks like in store app is the way to go
For those people that do regularly shop at Saks, the $50 semi annual Saks credits on Amex Platinum are worth $50 each.

+1 @M_Smart007 knows @GApeachy we will be waiting to hear the outcome.
@nuohlac yeah, close call. I don't have a store near me or I would try.
