As some know I was approved Neiman Marcus about 2 weeks ago for $700 and instantly applied for Saks thinking same bank and practically card, Id get approved... I was instantly denied!
Letter came for Equifax 619! WHAT?!
I requested CLI for Neiman Marcus and they sent letter that arrived today with the original report they pulled at approved (about 60 seconds before Saks!) and it shows Equifax 653.
What is Saks using and WHY!?

That is odd, especially when both apps were submitted almost sequentially. Are they using FICO or the Capital One scoring range? I recall you've had some issues with EQ which they still haven't fixed so I'm wondering if some of that may be at play here.

well i think my equifax is still crapped and i only unlocked it for 2 days to apply for these cards but they both pulled it... clearly one of them must be a fico and one a something else but both equifax.
Also CA I see Cap1 you used as your EQ score in signature, when was that last updated as I dont want to try for another CLI with them if they are still using 3 month old scores
... Just save me a bit of time when that score was from please

that is the score that just came on the my Neiman Marcus letter dated the 6th when I opened the account.
I don't have enough room to list the 15 different scores sent out by banks so I try to use Fico scores when I get them
Says EQ: xxx Cap1 next to score, so assumed it was that![]()

yes I applied for both cards on the 6th and they both sent me EQ scores only the Neiman Marcus that was approved seemed to have sent me a Fico EQ which I listed below vs. the Saks sent me a who knows what EQ score.
