Got pre-approved, but then at the end it says we will mail you in 7 days (I'm assuming decision, didn't mention mailing the card)... Anyone applied before? Seems like a pre-approved but disapproved...

Could either be a denial or simply a request tied to verifying income or that it was really you who applied for the card.  With the uptick in fraud and in accounts going into arrears over the last couple of years these types of verification requests have become more commonplace.  Don't automatically assume the worst especially if you were honest in stating income.

Give them a call. They probably just need to verify your information. A few of the Synchrony owned cards I have applied for required verification before being approved.

thanks. just confused why these days only approvals for like $1000. Like a year before I was getting at least 10k per card... though different issuers.. Maybe I'm reaching my maximum of some sort? Just checked my reports... around 300k in credit line across all my cards.
