Well, thanks to the amazing advice here I have made quite an improvement over the last month.
10/13 - EQ 645, TU 619, EX 583
11/11 - EQ 750, TU 670, EX 725
Like many here I started my journey 15 months ago with a secured CC. PIF every other week. Grabbed another secured CC earlier this year and again PIF every other week. Also have a Capital One MC non-secured at 300 limit.
I would really love an opportunity to get a much better CC that I can gain rewards for my purchases. I had my eye on the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier card. I travel a fair amount and could really benefit from that card. Is apping now a good time?
Particulars: At my employer for 13 years, 100K annual salary. I own my car free and clear as well as my home.
EDIT: Forgot to add. 3 inquires on each CR in the last 12 months.

Well. as much as I hate EX pulls I'd advocate anything that pulls EX or EQ for you.
I'd consider CSP, Chase Marriott, AMEX ED, and possibly Discover It for you unless you already have it.

I don't know if Chase would let you jump from the little cards you have right now to their precious Marriott just like that. They would probably prefer you go through their Freedom first. In any case, things could be helped if you had a banking relationship with them...
Capital One Venture! (they will go off EQ and they sure have been giving some love these days!)
any comenity card your heart disires (Virgin America, Orbitz, BJ's are a couple that come to mind that I like the best)
American Express Every Day, SPG
Chase AARP, Marriott
Citi Double Cash
As always, it's not just about score. 15 months and 3 inquiries may be issues. However the only way to find out for certain is to apply and see. Worst case the OP will have reasons for denial to use as a guide on what to work on.

And TU, and EX too.
Freeze your TU if you're gonna app that one.

I dove straight into their "Premium" cards with a CSP and SWA Premier, NO prior CC history with them, only a checking/savings account open for 5mos at the time.
Thanks to everyone. myFICO shows credit history at 10 years on EQ and 9 years for EX and TU. If someone can help me find the AAoA that would be great. While I went years without using or having a credit card I had installment loans and all paid as agreed.
I'm going to study hard here and not just go on a wild app spree. Would Amex be open to me possibly for a charge card (PRG or Platinum)? I am also going to visit Wells Fargo first since I have an established CC and banking history.
EDIT: Keep forgetting stuff. Util reports at 4%.

You could definitely go for an AMEX charge.
you should just check the pre-qualified offers at each site but with 10 year history I think you can have your pick.
