Second BofA Denial Letter?

Hello Again Community,

So I received a second denial letter from BofA today and I was wondering if that was normal? It's qutie different from the first one I received and says exactly what the young lady told me when I called and reconed. This is what it says:

"After careful review, we were unable to approve the .....card you requested because you do not have a sufficient number of credit reference and your credit references have not been established for a sufficient length of time."

This doesn't mean that when I called and recon that they HP my report again does it? I use a different site for my EX CR and it doesn't update as often as say, Creditkarma. The woman asked if she could review my application again, but made no mention of HPing my CR again.

Re: Second BofA Denial Letter?

You can check your CRs to ensure that no 2nd pull occured but this is typical of BOA to generate another letter (i.e. the initial declined app and subsequent declined reconsideration).  So, if you attempted 5 reconsiderations, 5 letters would generate (may or may not contain the same reasons).

Typically, BOA uses the same HP (YEMV) provided the application is re-reviewed within 30 days.  The actual reasons may vary from the first one depending on who performed the 2nd review.

Re: Second BofA Denial Letter?

That's good to know. My EX CR won't update for another 3wks so I won't know until then. It's been pulled quite a bit in recent days, so I was really hoping they hadn't pulled it again.

Thanks for the info!

Since your application was recently declined (and you mentioned multiple others), and if they accessed EX, you can go online and obtain a recent copy of your EX CR.  Unless you've already requested a copy of it.
