Thank you All for the responses and information shared on my post but unfortunately for me i got Denied . I couldn't resist the itch and called the 18005671083 to ask for the status app, but oh well there's no hard pull anyway on credit report since I'm a current Amex holder. Denial reasons were too many accounts opened in the last 12 months which is true and too many inquiries in the last 6 months 15 total EX Inqs. Amex also mentioned that my FICO score was low which I don't really agree since I have 695 EX from what the CS told me. I don't really need the card I was just tempted of the exclusive offer on my email. Worth a try... Hope this info will help to those who are interested in apping after an offer from Amex
.
Maybe Amex is tightening up too, idk. We saw Chase 5/24, now Cap1 is starting to denied people for submitting two apps within 6 months based on what I've been reading here. Looks like it's trending that way.
Thats too bad OP. Looks like its time to put things away for a while and go play in the yard.

@Anonymous wrote:What's the likehood of getting approved after getting in the email for a selected offer for the Amex ED? I already have the BCP and PRG. Amex emailed me this offer and it says "Congratulations, You're selected to apply for an exclusive offer, apply for the Amex Everyday credit card as a companion to your PRG and earn 15,000 membership rewards". Amex also gave me an RSVP code for the application. I already apped for this card about a little over a month ago but I was denied. Thanks.
I have the AMEX ED card and I recieved one of those "Congratulations" emails to apply for the Platinum card. I was leery at first because of all the cards I had accumulated up to that point and I was sure I wouldn't get approved. But with the wording of the email and the RVSP #, I decided to go for it and was approved!! Go for it! If they decline you, there's no HP, so you have that going for you...
Congrats! Did you put the last 4 of your social in? Did it send you to an application page? Just curious... Thanks
When I clicked on the link, it was like an application, but everything was preloaded and I did have to enter the last 4. It was quick though, no wait message at all. I blinked and there was the "Approved!" message.
I have the offer for the platinum too that I received in the mail. I really want to apply but that annual fee would murder my bank account lol. I am sitting on it for a bit. But in the end I will most likely pass. I rarely travel enough to really make use of those benefits.

Thank you. No sweat actually for me since there's no HP . ... On my way to the Garden

The only reason I went for the platinum is for the car rental benefits. Most of the other perks of the card are outside of my tax bracket. I love having it though, it's a reward for the hard work I put into building my credit, which I ruined 10 years ago.
Thanks for sharing
I received the BCE offer hours after Amex called me asking for a payment on my PRG because they didn't like how high the balance was getting this month. My scores are far too low right now to be approved. Email states a 13.24% APR
