Re: Shopping Card Trick looks to have gone bye-bye

As soon as you get approved, set up your acct online and request a CLI. Very rarely does this not work for an immediate bump. I got an initial $500 approval and then got a $300 CLI right away. I'm up to $1,700 now I think.

I've been relatively successful with the shopping cart trick (Sportsmans Guide, Boscov's, NY&Co, Wayfair, Loft, and Jcrew) but I'd like to obtain just a couple more.  If it's not too much trouble, can you give me a step-by-step guide of how you obtained the Total Rewards Visa?  I'd really appreciate it.

PenFed Platinum Rewards Visa: $10k|| PenFed Travel AMEX: $5k|| NAVCHEK: $15k|| US Bank Cash+ : $10k|| Citi Thank You Preferred: $9.7k|| Lowes: $35k|| PenFed Promise Visa: $11.5k|| Navy Federal Platinum: $22k|| Navy Federal GoRewards: $25k || PenFed LOC: $5k|| Capital One Venture: $15k || Barclay Reward Visa: $2.7K|| Chase Freedom: $10K|| Chase Sapphire Preferred: $10k|| Chase Freedom Ult'd: $6.8k Boscov’s: $11.5K|| PenFed Thrifty Credit: $500|| Discover IT: $2,800|| Wells Fargo Cash Wise: 8.8k||
Beginning Score:600 / Current Scores: EQ-735, TU-744, EX-744
Goal Score:800 Across

It's hard to do that anymore......Comenity changed their log ins, so that you need to have your account number to register online.

Get your Total Rewards # first and become a member.  That worked for me.  That was about a yr ago.  Not sure if you'll get an hp from the SCT.

If you go on their Total Rewards site that will trigger the pop-up.  Make sure you have your # first so you can fill that in,  I got 10k sl.  Now up to 17.5k. Don't forget to hit that luv button for Sportsman too.  Smiley Wink

Supposedly Comenity went to HP for any Visa/MC cards. My Sportsman's Guide was a SP, but that was over a year ago.

I just tried a few and got the popups too. Didn't accept any since I've got too many Comenity already.

A got then SG Visa about 2 weeks ago via SCT. I was so excited to get a Visa pre-approval! I got a $2k limit. It was not a HP.

However, I also got & accepted the Gander Mountain MC popup and it was a HP Smiley Sad. Since I got a decent limit (for me since I'm rebuilding, $1,500) I'm ok with it.

You did well. Congrats
