I was able to get it to work for Express and Boscov's for me. For Express, when I accepted, I got a 7-10 day message. It's been 9 days. Boscov's went through with no issues for $250 and I received the card in 9 days.

For my husband, I was able to get Victoria's Secret for $250 and received the card in 10 days.

I would highly suggest to be careful and not open up multiple SCT cards.

Threads included below for educational reading and there are MANY similar threads of people having all of their cards closed by the lender.

Please be careful as we do not want to see other people have all of their cards closed down.

Forget to post here, but in July I did the SCT for VS and was approved for $250. I used the online mobile site and was logged into my account when the preapproval popped up.

worked for me, but with a HP I'm assuming, as it asked for full SSN and all the rest. So, even with about $4k in Pottery Barn items in my cart, I did thet the "congrats, you're preapproved" message, I didn't do it. Don't need the HP. But thanks for the information. I may actually shop at Pottery Barn, but not today,

It's a soft pull unless it's the visa version. Some do ask for the full ssn but it's still a soft pull.

The SCT worked for my Overstock Store card, which I tried to get. I got a pop-up from Boscov's without even trying - I just signed up for the rewards program and was give a pre-approval.
