You can go for either or both. They may have small SL's but they can grow within six months. If the cards are enrolled in credit steps you will get a CLI at six months but can also request and possibly recieve one before that in addition to the credit steps increase. The increase can vary and I have seen people go from a $500 to $3000 in six months, it all depends on how you use it.

Re: Should I Try for a credit card?

Your cap one should grow fast.

I started with a 300 limit last year and now it's at 2500. I would probably wait on discover until scores are a bit higher.

Re: Should I Try for a credit card?

I would recommend capital one as well, and perhaps a secured card from discover. Within 6 months, your scores will help you graduate to unsecured. You have to be patient😊.
