No guarantees they will use the same pull. you could be setting yourself up for 6 pulls.

Could have gotten the Venture and downgraded to Venture One before the fee hit. They don't hit you with it until year 2.

So frustrating. I waited months to app for this card and thought I had a great shot. Makes me sick seeing a wasted pull on my reports..

Just curious- did you do the prequalification and then get a denial or was it a cold app?

Cold app. I was pre-qualified last month, then tried it again today and they said they couldn't find any offers. I thought that might have been attributed to a recent fraud alert that was on my reports but had been removed two weeks ago.

I would call in and ask them to do a manual review, the system may have had a stale report.

How do I recon CapOne? From all I've read it's virtually impossible. I saw where some people contacted them through social media and had luck. Ha! Is there a specific recon number?

I found the number but they're closed. Guess it's worth a shot, although I'm sure the denial is due to the relatively young credit age..

I reconned a denial of a CLI once because I thought that they had a stale report.  I called in, not chat, and plainly and simply laid out my case.  The CSR said that they aren't supposed to say that Cap One does manual reviews but that she would talk to her supervisor.  They did a manual review and gave me a nice CLI which helped me get out of the rebuild stage.

Hard to believe I was approved but you weren't. The only thing in my file better than yours is AAoA and oldest account. I do already have a QS though.
