Should I apply for a 2nd Amex?

I was approved for the Amex Preferred yesterday.  I would like to apply for a 2nd revolver card.  Do I need to wait 5 days and will it be another HP?  I only want a 2nd card if its a SP.   I want to go back in the garden for 2 years after this too

You will incur another hard pull after 5 days if the second card is revolver.

Correct. You can only avoid another HP if you apply for one of their charge cards. I was never interested in any of their charge cards until I realized how great the perks were of the AMEX Platinum.

Yeah I really don't want the charge card either.  Its 200 a year for the gold and 450 a year for the silver one I believe

What kind of perks?  I don't know its its worth it for the yearly cost.

That silver one is a platinum, hence the platinum sized AF and if your not really a big traveler then it's really not something you'd probably want because it would be hard to justify the AF.

No Im not a big traveler.... just vacation twice a year.

So I think I might be applying for another revolver then.   I can't seem to decide which one I should get?

I was looking at the Hilton but I know people were saying its takes a while to earn the points for free stays.  

Whats the difference between Preffered and Everyday?  Anyon have any preference on any other Amex Cards?

Everyday = $0 AF

Preferred = $95 AF

So i applied for the everday and amex said they need to cancel my app because everyday and preferred is in the same family.  So i also appd for the hilton amex.  Its on hold for 5 days right now ill come back with the results.
