Should I apply for a Amazon store card? Very thin file

So I've been very anti Synchrony of recent after seeing bad things here about them and a recent awful experince my mom had with them. Those issues were eventually solved but not fun.

With that said Amazon again targated me with a $100 SUB upon approval. As I said I have a thin file with just the WF and Target cards that are very new. I don't have a FICO score right now

It seems my chances at approval might be low and i'll just waste a HP and get nothing out of it. Any thoughts? Right now on the side that it's a bad idea.

Thanks

Synch is almost wholly driven by what TU says about you. I’d wait til you have a score before applying for anything - this suggests you have the two cards you mentioned as your only cards, and that both were opened within the last six months. Don’t apply yet - get your scores and allow the six months to pass before applying for anything. You may find better options are available at that point too. But don’t rush to app for too much too soon.

+1 Devil.

Too early. How are you being targeted? I like to reiterate Sync is not as bad as some like to make them here. Almost every lender can have its issues so just keep in mind one persons experience doesnt necessarily translate to you. Still impressed with your 2 cards with no scoreSmiley Happy

Agree.  Take it easy.  A solid credit will benefit you for years to come.  Manage it responsibly.

Just had a offer that was presented me when checking out. But as it seems most agree with me too early and i should wait before trying to get more credit.

Chase freedom would be next ideal card but i'm long ways from that.
