9 times out of 10 when I read one of these threads, my advice is NO, DON'T APPLY.
This one is no different.
Any time someone is "on the cusp" such as the situation here with the OP, I always strongly suggest that they garden for another 6 months. On time payments, keep utilization low, and in 6 months by default you'll be in a better position than you were 6 months prior. Your chances of approval will be increased, and in the event of approval your SL will without question be stronger than if you applied 6 months prior. Unless you are in dire need of the CC now, which it seems you aren't, there is no reason not to hold off and strengthen your profile more IMO.
