Should I call??

I applied for the Amazon store card and was not approved. However they checked transunion which still hasn't deleted most of the disputed and deleted collections. This was the reasons given : NUMBER OF MONTHS SINCE 30 DAYS PAST DUE ON A CREDIT ACCOUNT IS TOO LOW TOO FEW REVOLVING ACCOUNTS LACK OF BANK REVOLVING INFORMATION ACCOUNTS IN COLLECTION OR 60 DAYS PAST DUE OR ADVERSE PUBLIC RECORDS

do you think calling would help at all? I mean I'd even be happy with $100!

I currently have a fako tu 546 and equ 569

Oh ok. I'm new so I didn't know that. Smiley Sad thanks. Is there any store cards which are easier to obtain with less than stellar credit?

Re: Should I call??

If I were you with your current scores and you are really interested in rebuiding I would personally work on fixing what is wrong with your reports and visting the rebuilding section of the forum as it is a great help on addressing and starting the clean up your report and you can get great advise from that section of this forum.

Also consider picking up a SDFCU secured credit card (State Department Secured Credit Card).  https://www.sdfcu.org/   Their is no Hard Pull for opening it although you got to fund it and it will report to all three CRA's and create a positive history for you over time while you work on what is wrong with your credit reports and within 6 months to a year you can get the Amazon card among other cards depending on how your credit is at that time of being responsible with the SDFCU card.

there is no "easy" or fast way to rebuild credit, it takes time and patience.. I still have 2 years until my report is completly clean, but about 2 years ago my scores were similiar to yours and now you can see some of the cards I have in my signature due to addressing with was wrong with my report and TONS of hard work.

Hopefully this helps and best of luck on how you choose to move forward!

Re: Should I call??

I just applied for the v.secret through commenity and got approved for $250. YAY!

I was trying to get 3 accounts going and have all three now.

1- credit one $300

2- cap1 rebuilding $100

3- Victoria's Secret $250

guess I'm set to start building up.

Re: Should I call??

It took me about 6mo after rebuilding to get one. I paid everything off, got 2 unsecured CC an instalment loan, built on that for almost 6 mo and reapplied for amazon store and recieved it. If that helps

Re: Should I call??

Is transunion late to update? All my baddies should be off but maybe it's because one is pending dispute that it didn't update in credit karma? Experian is all clear

I don't know if Synchrony cares, but if you had erroneous entries on your credit reports and they were fixed/removed, you can request that the CRAs send an update to anyone who requested your report in the last 6 months.

If you had collections removed, but valid past dues still on there, it's probably not worth following up.
