I've had my eye on the chase freedom card for a while. From what i've read here it seems that chase won't take my application until my credit file is a least a year old. Well, my oldest account just turned 1 year old this month, but i'm still not sure if i'm likley to get approved.
Below is my profile, can you guys give me an opinion on weather i'm likely to get approved or not?
AoOA: 1 year
AoYA: 4 months
AAoA: 9 months
Total accounts: 4, all revolvers, no installment
Total utilization: 7%, this is just the reported balance, I PIF
FICO score: 734, score is from experian
No derogatory marks
Income: $17,000 I'm a student so I only work part-time

When I was a student I was denied a Chase Amazon card because I lacked credit history and had low income. I am not sure about the Freedom but they might pull that on you since your oldest account is only a year old. I got my Freedom after college and my oldest account was 3 years old. What is your total revolving credit? That might help you get approved with your limited history. Keep in mind what @ncmike brought up about the 5/24 rule as well since you have opened 4 accounts in the last year.
Chase is a tough one, but I had extremely similar stats when I got a Chase FU. Even my income was the same (17k) lol. It really could go either way. If you want to play it safe, wait for a few more months without applying for anything else.

I think you're more likely than not to be approved.

$14,000 Does having a higher limit increase my chances with chase?

I was just approved for a Chase Freedom and aside from income your credit profile is very similar to mine. I'm not sure how much weight Chase puts on income but I still think you have good approval odds. I would give it a shot! If you're denied try building up your income a little more before applying again. Also, keep in mind the Chase 5/24 rule. Let us know how it goes!
Yep, I do have that in mind, hence why i'm looking to apply now for chase.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Because your AAOAs is only 9 mos old, I think you will be declined. And also, because you have opened 4 accounts in less than a year.

Should I wait until my AAoA is 12 mos old?
