Should I push to get in before 5/24?

I recently had a very successful app spree.... Got NFCU card, NFCU Cloc, PenFed card , Barclays Uber card and chase freedom... All approves within the same week.... As of right now a amex I opened in December and the Barclays and PenFed have already reported on report so I'm currently at 3/24..... Once all these accounts report I will be over 5/24 and won't be able to get any chase cards for 2 years.... I eventually will want a CSP or CSR in the future but know as of right now I probably won't get approve for those but i had a thought..... Should I apply for a freedom unlimited so I can product change that into a CSP or CSR in about a year or so? I'm asking because I know chase has a reputation for shutting down accounts for seeking too much credit and I already have had massive success but I also don't wanna be locked out of getting a CSP or CSR as I want to keep the Regular freedom as a keeper card....

The fear I have isn't getting denied for the freedom but having chase or barclays shutdown my accounts for seeking credit..as ive heard stories.........I currently have 5 inquires.... Opinions Please.....

Why not just apply for the CSR or CSP? How long ago did you get the Freedom?

Unless the rules changed recently. You are limited two Chase CCs in a 30 day period.
I say go for it. I'm an all or nothing kind of guy though. I don't spend any time worrying about AA. So take my recommendation with a grain of salt 😂.

Got the freedom last week ....The highest limit I have is my penfed at 3.5k and I know the CSP starts at 5k I just don't think chase will take that chance with me just yet and don't wanna waste the shot and rather go for something easier and product change.........Maybe I'm being paranoid lol

Lol, yeah there's a lot of paranoia on these boards.
Personally, I would have pulled the trigger on both the same day.
You throw enough at the wall. Eventually something is going to stick.😉

OP, this will largely depend on the actual risk of AA and your threshold or tolerance for such risk. There's been recent Chase AA threads so I definitely don't discount those.

At the end of the day, everyone's profiles are different and some can take pretty decent impacts. But, it will all boil down to whether yours can pull it off.

I'd shoot for a PC down the road and let things breathe for a bit, but this is your profile and CC arsenal, ultimately up to you. I suppose if AA happens then lesson learned, but if it doesn't then it's best to lay low key for a long while.

Thanks for your replies ......
I see someeeeee people have been targeted while signed into chases website with green check Marks next to selected offers and that sometimes gets people by the 5/24 rule.... Going to take the long safe route and just build a relationship with this freedom and hopefully I see a pre selected offer for a CSP or CSR in a year of so......

I'm with you there Op...   I got in with the CSR and even though I'm below 5/24, rather than push the envelope when there really isn't a need to, I'll let the seeds sprout and see how this relationship grows.  I 2nd your decision on that one.

I would recommend doing the same, give it some time and don't take the chance. This way, some of your accounts age and also your total AAoA ages as well.

Knowing Chase can be fickle, you're not confident you'd qualify and can see the inquiries even if accts haven't reported yet, it would be prudent to hold off.

At a minimum, you might try to see if you prequal for either of your target cards from Chase.

Best wishes.

No prequals for either CSP or CSR although I wasn't pre approved for the Freedom either.....
