Have you tried prequal sites like Chase or Citi? What's your EQ Fico score? Discover loves thin files.

Come to think about it, it would be probably more benificial to get two seperate cards from BOA!!! Especially if they wipe the annual fee for me on the one!!!!!!

I would love to try Chase but I'm scared of being denied, I've been scared of being denied for the longest. Never tried the prequal sites..

Chase's prequal site is pretty golden. Give it a try.

Re: Should I try for an early Graduation with Bank of America

I just graduated mine. Started at 400 secured and I called in after 13 months. They unsecured, and increased my CLI to 1000. I have only had good experiences with them so far.
Just got my deposit back today in the form of cashiers check. It took about 4 days from the time of my call.

Alright guys... I finaly devloped the courage to call Bank of America in regards to them considering graduating my secured card early!!!!!!!

They unsecured me!!!!!! I was really nervous when they were reviewing everything! The Gentleman was very polite and complemented me on how my report looked as far as recent activity! They incredased my credit line from $300 to $500. I asked them if they could convert my card to a cash rewards and I was informed that I would have to submit an another application. In regards to obtaining the cash rewards, I was informed that if I was approved for that card I would have two seperate cards unless I wanted to close my current card which I don't.

Either way it goes I am extremely thankful and happy they unsecured me!!! I may attempt to  go through with cash rewards application and cross my fingers. If I get apporved for that card I will be truly ecstatic.....

congrats, some of those calls are tough. i never liked to ask anyone for anything growing up so i had issues asking for limits at first. now that i'm here.... not so much.  ;]

What do you guys think the likelyhood of BOA approving me of a Cash Rewards card considering they unsecured me?
